Honey Mustard Glazed Pork Chops

When I was first learning how to cook, this was one of my go-to dishes that was fast, easy, and good.  If you want to add a more interesting twist to the dish, you could top the chops with some sauteed red onions with apples and raisins.  I kept it simple and served them with some roasted Brussels sprouts and mashed potatoes. This dish would pair amazingly with a fruity Gewurztraminer or Riesling.

Serves 4

  • 4-1″ thick boneless pork chops
  • salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 cup grainy mustard
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1 teaspoon orange zest or orange juice
1.)  Preheat oven to 400 degrees.  Season both sides of the pork chops with salt, pepper, and paprika.  Spray a baking dish with non-stick spray and lay chops on dish.  Place chops in oven.

2.)  In a small bowl, combine honey, mustard, orange zest or juice, and season with salt and pepper.  After 10 minutes, begin brushing glaze over chops every 5 minutes until cooked through.  The chops will cook for about 20 minutes total.
